US-FederalElectionCommissionIn the most recent reporting period, Kansas candidates for the U.S. House and U.S. Senate raised $8.7 million, spent $3.3 million and have $8.4 million in the bank.

The FEC Candidate Summary finally has nearly all the data for the reporting period ending Dec. 31, 2009.   Kansas data were extracted from this national file and are summarized below.

Current candidate reports not ending Dec 31,2009 include:

Update (2/6):  Nick Jordan, KS-3, for an unknown reason filed his report but is not yet included in the FEC Summary info.  Jordan’s 12/31/2009 numbers include:  $115,314 contributions, $1953 expenditures, $117,137 case on hand. Update (2/8) I’ve posted a question to the FEC Disclosure blog to get their explanation.

Candidates who announced after Dec 31, 2009, e.g., Charlotte O’Hara and Craig McPherson from KS-3, will file their first reports at the end of the next quarter.

When some technical problems are resolved, the Kansas Watchdog will publish the financial disclosure these candidates made to the U.S. House or U.S. Senate.
