Print This Article
Updated receipts and expenditure reports for Kansas Political Action Committees (PACs) were due on Monday at the Kansas Governmental Ethics Commission.
The Commission’s web page shows rows for 233 PACs, but only 176 filed receipts and expenditure reports as of 7/27/2010 5:20 PM. Several reports were still missing at that time.
PACs filing affidavits of exemption were ignored in this analysis. These PACs say they will not raise or spend $500 or more, or receive any contribution in excess of $50 from any one contributor. See this example Affidavit of Exemption.
Two complete lists of the PACs are shown below:
- Alphabetical Listing of PACs showing the amount of money raised, spent and in the bank. In kind contributions are also shown. Comments are shown for money transfers of $10,000 or more, or for the 20 PACs associated with the Kansas National Education Association PAC.
- Rank Order Listing of PACs gives the approximate ranking for each PAC. Separate rankings are given for money raised, spent and cash on hand. An overall rank is also shown.
